Tremendous book. It took me awhile to finish simply because, after a period of neglect, I would restart the book. I did this three times, read it halfway, and then restarted it. It was worth it. In the book, Capill gives us Baxter in a contemporary perspective. If your a Richard Baxter fan, this book needs a spot on your shelf. A wonderful treatment of the intersection of pastoral ministry and expository preaching.
Preachers need to read this. Carefully. And then go read Baxter.
